*  Upcoming dates to watch:
         Jan 15 for summer fellows' applications;
         Mar. 25-28 -- NSTA;
         Apr. workshop at JPL

*   Small group to develop template for the modules to report at Apr workshop;

*   Start developing assessment instrument;

*   Pair scientist & educator (1 meeting each in North & South)

*   Inventorize relevant web resources, such as ESSE, etc.

*   ALERT-Bretherton diagram;

*  Familiarize JPL/ARC with ALERT;

*  Start annual reporting to EDCAT;

*  Implement threaded Web discussions;

*  Examine relationship with Virtual CA.

*  Study how to measure all objectives - to report in Apr.

* Develop educational modules within the next two years: each campus must contribute at least one module
    to the community

* Collect and analyze pedagogical change data: then distribute to community

* Develop web-based library of modules, etc.

* Develop review protocol and process for module production

* Disseminate ALERT modules and experiences to outside world, starting in California; also, disseminate
    process of collaboration development

* Develop sustainable program that will be funded/supported after three year initial funding period is over

* Hold module workshop by the end of the two-year period

* Develop continuity of communication process through:
         o telecons
         o on-line workshops
         o videoconferencing
         o asynchronous communication combining email and listserves

* Make sure ALERT produces increase in quality, not quantity of science units (course work) for future teachers

* Create a new process of JPL-ARC educational product development that incorporates educator input at product inception

* Explore teaming with California Community Colleges
